There’s nothing quite like a Colorado elopement in July- mountains covered in vibrant wildflowers, long summer days, and cool alpine air. Dana & Kevin chose to celebrate their love in the heart of it all, blending adventure with intimacy. Their wildflower elopement unfolded across multiple days, from private vows under a glowing sunrise to joyful celebrations with loved ones, and finally, a lakeside adventure session to close out their story.

Sunrise Hike

Their wedding day started long before the sun came up. We met at the trailhead in the dark, with headlamps lighting the path, and hiked up the trail together. Just as the first light hit the peaks, Dana & Kevin read their private vows, surrounded by wildflowers glowing in the sunrise. It was emotional, peaceful, and such a beautiful way to start their Colorado elopement.

Formal Ceremony & Reception

Later that day, we met Dana & Kevin at Westwall Lodge to capture details and getting ready moments before heading to the ceremony. We then gathered with their closest friends and family for their formal ceremony at Ten Peaks, with sweeping mountain views in every direction. After exchanging rings, everyone headed to Two Twelve for an intimate reception. The night ended on Elk Ave, where onlookers cheered as they posed for night photos beneath the glowing lights of downtown.

Sunrise Adventure Session

The next morning, we met at sunrise at a location we found for them days before their elopement. The wildflowers vary in timing and location each year- so we always arrive early to scout things out and find where has the best scenery. We hiked up the trail and took wildflower elopement photos in the mountains as the sun rose. The mountains were alive with July blooms- lupines, paintbrush, and sunflowers stretching as far as the eye could see. There were even horses grazing nearby, it was an absolute dream!

Sunset Adventure Session

To round out their wedding experience, Dana & Kevin traded gowns and suits for casual clothes, embracing a more laid-back, engagement-session style adventure. They hiked to a quiet alpine lake, skipping rocks, laughing together, and soaking in the beauty of the Rockies. This relaxed finale was the perfect way to celebrate not only their wedding but their love for exploring life together.
