Elopement Day
K+M wanted a slow morning on their elopement day- time to sleep in, drink coffee and write their vows together before the big day. We met them in the afternoon at their cozy Airbnb tucked into the mountains, with their two dogs happily trotting around the space. The Airbnb had the kind of big, bright windows we always look for when recommending lodging to our couples- lots of natural light spilling in, soft mountain views outside, and enough space for everyone to feel relaxed.
Cate joined us to do hair and makeup, and the atmosphere was calm and joyful, just how a wedding morning should be! Once they were ready, M + K shared a quiet first look just outside the Airbnb. It was one of those sweet little moments- no big audience, just them, the dogs, and the mountain air. Afterward, we packed up and set out for their adventure. As the sun dipped lower, we headed back to the Airbnb to wrap up the night. They shared cake and champagne on the bed, still in their wedding clothes, dogs curled up at their feet. It was cozy, romantic, and perfectly them.
Sunrise Hike & Horseback Ride
The next day, we met back up to K+M while it was still dark outside, and hiked to a beautiful viewpoint to catch sunrise. They brought their dogs along, and we explored the area as the light lit up the sky. Afterwards, we went back into town and went on a horseback ride with Fantasy Ranch!

“My wife and I found Savannah and Greg online researching Colorado elopement photographers, once we saw their photos we knew we had to book with them. We ended up booking a multi day elopement with photos and video. They were so kind, communicative, timely, and professional throughout the entire process. They made planning SO easy. We knew we wanted to elope in Crested Butte even though we hadn’t actually been there yet. Seems scary right? Nope! They knew all the best locations, scouted them for us and made the best recommendations based on our questionnaire answers. Right before our day they went and scouted all the locations we planned to be at and even showed us that the wildflowers were actually better at locations we didn’t originally choose. We were able to adjust the already amazing itinerary and get our dream photos as a result.
Something that stood out to me was how helpful they were on elopement day, the smallest things felt the biggest.. like asking if we needed anything from the store, fixing my vail and my train SO many times, how relaxed they made us feel, offering to carry things, having umbrellas for us, and how loving and patient they were with our two dogs. By the end of day one it felt like we were hanging out with friends. On our second day we did a sunrise hike and went horseback riding and had so much fun.
We received sneak peaks sooner than we expected and were immediately obsessed and in awe of the photos. We recently received our full gallery and I can tell you the only problem we have is trying to choose favorites because they are all that freaking good!! Pretty soon we will receive our full length video and I know it will be just as breathtaking as everything else we’ve received.
If you are considering booking with Authentic Collective- do it! They are beyond worth it and the end result is priceless.
