How to plan a Woods Walk Wedding

Below are the five simple steps to getting married at Woods Walk.

First things first, choose WHEN you’d like to get married. Woods Walk is available year round, so you can get married in any season! We suggest a weekday to avoid crowds, and early morning or at sunset is the best time of day for your ceremony for best lighting.

You’ll need to book Woods Walk through the Crested Butte Land Trust website. A $2000 payment is required to book the venue.

After you have a date and permit, it’s time to hire vendors for your day. However, most couples hire us as photographers even before they have their date set, as we help with planning! As local Colorado photographers, we can advise you on what time of year would be best for what you’re hoping for.

Next, you can plan out the full day. Decide where else you’d like to go, and what you’d like to do! This could include a first look, a hike to a beautiful lake, a reception with your guests, etc. Don’t forget to get your marriage license as well!

Last step is to get married! Be sure to bring your wedding permit with you on the day.
