Lindale Mill Wedding | Industrial Warehouse

Lindale Mill Wedding | Industrial Warehouse Venue

Lindale Mill is an industrial style wedding venue located just outside of Rome, Georgia- about an hour from Atlanta. The old textile mill factory has been updated as an open space concept wedding venue. It features brick structures with floor to ceiling widows, creating the best natural light ceremony and reception spaces. This was our first time shooting a wedding at Lindale Mill and we were blown away by how large the property is and how many areas there were to shoot at (we didn't even get to half of it!).

Lindsey and Chris chose Lindale Mill for their wedding after falling in love with the industrial style of the venue. They had also been looking for something that offered a good mix of outdoor and indoor spaces, so this was perfect for them. They had their ceremony and cocktail hour outside with the reception being held inside the main building.

The Wedding DĆ©cor & Inspiration

After searching through many wedding inspiration pictures, they came across a wedding party where the groom was wearing an emerald green suit. They loved the idea for their November wedding and based the rest of their colors off the suit! They went with mostly champagne, dusty rose and lots of greenery in the flowers.

To make their Lindale Mill wedding a reflection of them, Lindsey & Chris incorporated little things to show off their personality. They celebrate taco Tuesday every week, so having Mexican food was something that was important to them. Their margarita signature drink was called "The Enzo," named after their dog! Lindsey is all about fun sneakers so she decided to wear glittery high-top Vans. They both chose to wear fun socks, Lindsey's featured a bride and groom while Chris' were margarita themed. The night before the wedding at the rehearsal dinner, Chris' Aunt gifted him his Grandpa's watch, who passed away earlier this year due to COVID.

The First Look

After getting ready in their separate suites, they shared a first look where they were able to have a private moment together and exchange their gifts prior to the ceremony.

"We originally were against a first look because we thought it would take away from the moment I walked down the aisle, but we really wanted to take pictures ahead of time and have a moment to exchange letters and gifts. This moment ended up being one of the most special moments of the day. It took away from the pressure and helped me to relax before walking down the aisle. It felt like we had a private moment to enjoy and gather ourselves before the ceremony and the moment I walked down the aisle all the feels were still there!"

Q & A

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?
"We invited around 175 people to our wedding, but with covid it ended up being under 70. Understandably many people were still very uneasy being at a wedding and only stayed for the ceremony or left after dinner. Our reception and dancing ended up being only our close family and friends and bridal party. Lindsey had always wanted a smaller wedding. We loved that the night ended by us partying with those that we are the closest to and that is something we will always remember."

What was the biggest challenge you faced in planning your wedding? Do you have any advice for those planning now?
"The biggest challenge was continually receiving no's from people that we really wanted at our wedding, but due to travel restrictions or health concerns they could not be there. We considered postponing many times, but ultimately kept reminding ourselves that our wedding day was about the two of us. My advice to anyone planning a wedding is to remember the bigger picture. Things are going to go wrong and you're going to experience hiccups along the way, but at the end of the day you're going to be married to your best friend. Focus on the positives and try to brush off the things that go wrong."

Congrats Lindsey & Chris!!
