Diane and Brent's wedding at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn was absolutely gorgeous, start to finish! The Farm at Old Edwards Inn is the perfect place for a wedding. Tucked away in the mountains of Highlands, North Carolina the venue features a small lake, orchard and rustic buildings. Diane and Brent chose The Farm at Old Edwards Inn as their wedding venue for its stunning features. Plus, it's located right in the heart of Highlands, NC, where they grew up.
The Wedding
Their wedding at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn started with Diane getting ready at the farmhouse. Meantime, Brent put on his final touches at the Hummingbird Lounge. Though they initially didn't want to have a first look on their wedding day, they came to the decision that they did want to have it. Their decision came from wanting to be able to get more photos together and getting their family formals done prior to the ceremony.
After their first look they couldn't stop talking about how happy they were that they had done it! They felt so much better and less anxious about the rest of the day. They even told us after that it was their absolute favorite part of their wedding!
Planning
Diane and Brent impressively planned their wedding in just 3 months. The inspiration behind their decor was to capture a romantic yet simple atmosphere that reflected their relationship. Their main goal was to capture the beauty of The Farm at Old Edwards Inn while not over complicating things with too many intricacies. Their palate was white, gold and blush which complimented the spring wedding.
