Summer Backyard Wedding | East Atlanta, Georgia
Katie and Nick planned a summer backyard wedding at their home in East Atlanta. They DIY-ed a lot of the set up, including the bouquets which Katie made from flowers from Trader Joes! The yard was filled with wooden picnic tables, minimalistic dƩcor, greenery and gold accents with Edison string lights overhead. The Edison lights have a story behind them- the first night they met Nick asked if Katie knew what type of lights they were, not knowing she was an electrical engineer!
Katie got ready at their home in East Atlanta while Nick got ready at his friends house before their first look at Grant Park. Their first look in the park ended up being their favorite part of the day! They rode to the ceremony in a Rolls Royce (which we of course got awesome photos of).
The couple invited only their closest friends and family with Nick’s friend officiating the ceremony. They potted a plant together as a part of their ceremony and said I do at their summer backyard wedding!
They had Fox Brothers BBQ cater the dinner for their backyard wedding and a gorgeous cake from Southern Sweets. Katie and Nick love biking, so they had a custom bike cake topper! At the reception, the newly weds showed a photo slideshow of their childhoods and times together that had everyone laughing and crying. Everyone ate, danced and celebrated the newly weds all night before they were sent off in the Rolls Royce.
A huge congrats to Katie and Nick!
