Ashima & Alexander allowed us to come to the oldest Sikh temple in Atlanta and capture their Anand Karaj (Blissful Ceremony), a first for us! The night prior to our arrival Ashima had beautiful henna applied to her hands and feet. The day started with Ashima getting ready at The Hyatt Centric where she put on her gown and traditional jewelry. We then drove to theĀ Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple where we were immersed into their culture, taking off our shoes and covering our heads before entering. The Anand Karaj is a beautiful event where the priest reads off the marital obligations as the couple walks around the holy scripture four times, bowing each time they pass the front to agree.
