Lake Rabun Hotel Wedding
Lake Rabun Hotel is tucked in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains, making it the perfect place for an intimate wedding. The scenic wedding venue offers a variety of ceremony locations including the Forest Lodge, Treetop Deck and Pavilion. Rachel and Thomas chose to have their wedding at the Pavilion which has a stunning lookout to the trees and features a lake as well.
The wedding day started at the Lake Rabun Hotel, where Rachel and Thomas were in separate cabins getting ready for the big day. Once BLUSH was done with Rachel’s hair and makeup, we set the couple up for their first look among the forest.
One reason first looks are so beneficial is because it allows for a more relaxed wedding day. You get to see, hug and talk to your fiancé to calm your nerves before the ceremony. Then, you get to hang out with your fiancé, your bridal party and your family to take formal photos before the ceremony. This way, there’s way less of a rush after the ceremony!
Rachel and Thomas had their wedding ceremony at the Lake Rabun Pavilion with the stone fireplace heating everyone up and candles lighting the room. The intimate ceremony set in nature was absolutely stunning.
After the ceremony wrapped up we took the couple for some newly wed photos around the beautiful lake before heading to the reception. The Lake Rabun Hotel restaurant hosted the reception with delicious farm to table meals. There was plenty of dancing, drinking, singing and celebrating all night!
About The Couple
“Thomas and I first met while in college as his roommate was dating my lifelong best friend. Those two eventually got married — Thomas was his Best Man and I was her Maid of Honor. We were both seeing other people at the time of their wedding. Around eight months later (both single) we attended a New Years Eve weekend our mutual married friends were hosting and have been together for the past 4 years.”
