Big Sur Wedding | California Photographers

If you love the ocean and the mountains, Big Sur just might be the perfect location for your wedding! The coastline along Highway 1 is one of the most beautiful places in the US. You can stop pretty much anywhere along the highway, walk just a few minutes down from the road and arrive at an unbelievable viewpoint.

We initially had four weddings booked in California for July, however two of the weddings ended up being postponed due to COVID-19. With this new availability, we put up an ad in hopes of being able to shoot a couple intimate weddings since we were already going to be in California. Our photo caught Autumn’s eye and she sent our website to Jose, asking him if they could pull off planning a wedding in two months.. the answer was yes!

On July 20th, 2020 we met Autumn and Jose at sunrise for their first look along the coast of Big Sur. The fog overhead created a beautiful, diffused light with the sun peaking through in the distance. You could hear the waves lapping onto the sand and birds chirping around us as Autumn walked up behind Jose. It was the perfect start to this Big Sur wedding.

We were able to take a couple hours to take portraits of them in different locations along the coastline of Big Sur before heading to the ceremony. Their ceremony location was an intimate forested area just off of the highway. Autumn and Jose’s closest family and friends surrounded them as they read their vows, exchanged rings and said I do! Finally, we all headed to Big Sur River Inn to take a few photos at the creek before the newly weds held a small reception at their AirBnB. A huge congrats to Autumn and Jose! Thank you so much for allowing us to capture these beautiful moments at your Big Sur wedding!
