The Peachtree Club is an elegant, rooftop wedding venue in Atlanta, Georgia. Kristen and Alex chose to have their rooftop wedding at this venue because of the gorgeous views. They loved the bar/cocktail area and the indoor and outdoor features it offered. The rooftop venue was also convenient for it’s location as it’s in the city, close to the airport for out of town guests.
The couple liked neutral colors but also incorporated some muted blue/grey tones to complement the greenery. They wanted it to be soft, minimal color and more neutrals with some gold/metal accents. They said they wanted to be the ones to stand out, not the decor!
The most memorable moment for Alex was watching Kristen walk down the aisle and trying not to cry. (His words!) Kristenās most memorable moment was seeing Alex for the first time and getting to spend that time together just the two of them. They loved taking pictures and catching up with one another about what all had happened so far in the day and just being in disbelief that their wedding was finally happening!
The newly weds told us that they didn’t stick to the traditions that most weddings have. Instead, they thought about what they really wanted and what was important to them. They didn’t want to do things just because it’s what everyone is supposed to do at weddings! For example, they didn’t have a wedding cake, they opted for a desert bar instead. They also didnāt do a bouquet toss or garter toss because they thought the idea of it was kind of weird!
What was your biggest challenge in planning the wedding?
“Biggest challenge was definitely having to change everything because of COVID! Iād tell those planning now that to stay focused on the big picture and the reason that your doing this is to be married and all else seems pointless when you do that!”
A huge congrats to Kristen and Alexander on their beautiful Atlanta rooftop wedding!
