How to get married in Rocky Mountain National Park How to get married in Rocky Mountain National Park! 🏔️ The Permit: You’ll need to obtain a wedding permit to get married in RMNP, regardless of guest count. Decide what time of year you’d like to have your wedding and which ceremony location you prefer. Then, you can apply for your wedding permit one year in advance of the month of your date! It is a popular location, so you’ll want to apply for your permit ASAP.   If you’re eloping and not able to get a permit in time, there are also options to have your ceremony outside of RMNP in Estes Park, then just take photos in the park! Your photographer will still need a photo permit (we cover this for our clients). We always recommend hiring a photographer familiar with the area so they can assist you with finding the best spots for your ceremony and photos.   The Cost: It only costs $300 for the permit to get married in Rocky Mountain National Park! You’ll also have to pay for the normal entrance fee to the park, which is $30/vehicle unless you have an annual pass, military pass or other entrance pass.   Ceremony Options: There are a variety of designated ceremony options in RMNP that offer mountain, lake and forest views (and they don’t require hiking!). Our personal favorites are 3M Curve and Sprague Lake. While you have to hold the ceremony in one of the designated areas, you are able to take newlywed photos after your ceremony in other areas of the park!    Guests: You can have up to 30 people total at your Rocky Mountain National Park wedding ceremony.
