The ultimate debate, should you see each other before the ceremony or wait until you’re walking down the aisle? Of course this is completely up to you, but here are a few benefits of having a first look.
Guests Aren’t Waiting –
If you arrange for your family and bridal party to be there after your first look we can complete all of the formal portraits before the ceremony! This means that your guests won’t have to wait for you after the ceremony. We’ll be able to just take a few newly wed portraits and have you to the reception mingling with your guests in no time!
More Portraits –
Seeing each other before the ceremony gives the opportunity for two portrait sessions on your day! One right after the first look, and one right after the ceremony. This will result in more portraits of the both of you together on your wedding day. This will also be the only time you’ll have alone time together!
Emotional Freedom –
I completely understand the desire to see each other for the first time during the ceremony. However, instead of standing at the alter with all eyes on you, with a first look you can enjoy a private moment alone. We’ve found this to calm nerves and actually result in more emotions during the ceremony!
* In no way do we want you to do something you don’t want to do. If you don’t want a first look, don’t have one! These are simply some points that we have found to be beneficial in having a first look throughout our careers*
